PeopleKnowhow
Mutual Responsibility Policy

This is about both PEOPLE Knowhow and you, each taking appropriate responsibility for your wellbeing. When registering for a course you will be asked to complete an application form and an agreement to accept responsibility for your wellbeing, in accordance with this policy.

People Knowhow’s RESPONSIBILITIES

PEOPLE Knowhow takes responsibility for the content of its programs, the teaching and services provided by staff and volunteers and the physical environment within which our programs are presented. The skills and practices taught in our courses are intended to help you gain better emotional intelligence and wellbeing. They are made available on the understanding that neither the authors nor the presenters are providing anything that should be taken as a diagnosis, prescription or cure for any specific medical, psychological or spiritual condition.

PEOPLE Knowhow does not accept responsibility for any injury to participants other than in circumstances where negligence has occurred on behalf of the organisation, its employees, contractors and volunteers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

It’s a condition of your participation in our programs that you take responsibility for your own wellbeing. This includes taking responsibility for any medical and psychological conditions that you may have. Our courses include emotional experiences and bodywork, and sometimes the hours are long. With this in mind, it is important that you:

1.    Get professional advice from your doctor, and/or psychologist, therapist, counsellor if you have a medical or psychological condition that may be aggravated by the course content. Your professional advisors are welcome to contact us directly with their questions; and

2.    Advise us of any conditions, medical or otherwise, that might affect your participation in our programs so that we are aware of information that may be pertinent to your wellbeing. This includes telling us about any concerns, cautions or warnings you may have received from professional advisors. Your application form seeks this information from you.

CONTACT US

If you have any concerns about your specific circumstances, or if you are uncertain about how to proceed, then please contact PEOPLE Knowhow prior to the course starting so that we can discuss your circumstances.
